CCTV News: The Supreme People's Procuratorate released the 56th batch of guiding cases on March 13. The cases focus on common and frequent civil judgment cases such as traffic accident liability disputes, gift contract disputes, private lending, etc. Through supervision, the procuratorate promotes the court to unify judicial judgment standards, correct wrong judgments, and safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of the parties.
There are 5 guiding cases in this batch, namely "the appeal case between a rural commercial bank company and Zhang Mouli, Cao Mouhuan, and Xing Moumei", "the appeal case between a construction company and Huang Mouping and Zhang Moubiao", "the appeal case between a gift contract between Feng Mou and Li Mou", "the appeal case between a motor vehicle traffic accident liability dispute between a certain rural commercial bank company and a certain insurance company", "the appeal case between a service contract between a certain medical beauty company in Chengdu". The cases cover common and frequent types of civil dispute cases, with outstanding typicality and distinctive refinement rules. They cover two major areas: enterprises and judicial guarantees related to people's livelihood, and also have typical cases that concentrate on reflecting the core socialist values. They have strong guiding significance in the application of civil laws and the guidance of judicial concepts.
In 2024, procuratorates across the country accepted more than 280,000 civil prosecution cases of various types, including more than 80,000 civil judicial supervision, an increase of 6% year-on-year. The procuratorate strives to open up supervision channels, improve the quality and efficiency of supervision, and effectively ensure the unified and correct implementation of the law.
