At 10:30 am, people from all walks of life who attended the ceremony stood in front of Mr. Sun Yat-sen's statue in silence and bowed three times. Wang Yong, Vice Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, Zheng Jianbang, Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress and Chairman of the Central Committee of the China Democratic League, Chen Xu, Deputy Minister of the Central United Front Work Department, represented the United Front Work Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, Sun Shuo, Deputy Mayor of Beijing, represented the Beijing Municipal Government, Wang Hong, Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the China Democratic League and Chairman of the Beijing Municipal Committee of the China Democratic League, presented a flower basket to Mr. Sun Yat-sen's statue on behalf of the Beijing Municipal Committee of the Kuomintang Revolutionary Committee.
The commemorative ceremony was hosted by He Baoxiang, Vice Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and Executive Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the China Democratic League.
