my country's first commercial space launch site No. 1 workstation completed its first launch
2025-05-07 source:CCTV.com

In the early morning of March 12, the first launch of the Hainan Commercial Space Launch Station was a complete success. The Long March 8 Yao-6 launch vehicle sent the fifth batch of networked satellites of the Qianfan Constellation into the predetermined orbit by "one arrow and eighteen stars". At this point, the first launch of the Hainan Commercial Space Launch Station duplex station marks that my country's first commercial space launch site has the full system launch capability.

The Long March 8 carrier rocket is a new generation of medium-sized liquid carrier rocket in my country. It has a low-Earth orbit carrying capacity of about 7.6 tons and can support single-star or multi-star launches. It is an important force in my country's commercial space launches.

Hainan Commercial Space Launch Site is currently the only commercial space launch site in my country. Construction started in July 2022 and completed its first launch on November 30, 2024. It took only 878 days from start of construction to full completion and successful first launch.

The Hainan Commercial Space Launch Site has two workstations: No. 1 and No. 2 workstations are the first launch stations of my country's liquid universal rockets, and can be compatible with the launch needs of more than 10 models of rockets.

The No. 1 station used for this launch is the exclusive station of the Long March 8 series of rockets. It has innovatively adopted new technologies such as ground diversion cone guidance method and improved "three-sided" launch measurement mode, and can complete a launch in as soon as half a month.
