The Ministry of Finance stated that it actively responded to the concerns of representatives and deputies and stepped up efforts to ensure and improve people's livelihood.

In terms of employment, the Ministry of Finance has increased support for assisting enterprises to stabilize employment, continued to reduce unemployment insurance and work-related injury insurance premium rates, and optimized the implementation of phased employment promotion policies such as unemployment insurance job stability refunds, skills improvement subsidies, and one-time job expansion subsidies.

In terms of pension, starting from January 2024, the basic pension level for retirees will be increased at a total of 3% of the country; starting from July 2024, the national basic pension monthly minimum standard for urban and rural residents will be increased by 20 yuan. Guo Tingting, Vice Minister of Finance, introduced that in terms of medical care, the per capita financial subsidy standard for urban and rural residents' medical insurance will be increased by 30 yuan in 2024, reaching 670 yuan per person per year. At present, the reimbursement ratio of hospitalization expenses within the scope of employee medical insurance and urban and rural residents' medical insurance policies has stabilized at around 80% and 70% respectively, effectively reducing the burden of medical treatment for the people.

In terms of education, improve the student aid policy, and from the spring semester of 2024, the national basic standard for living allowance for students from families with financial difficulties in compulsory education will be improved, benefiting about 20 million students. Adjust and improve the national scholarship policy and national student loan policy in the higher education stage, double the national scholarship award quota, increase the national scholarship, inspirational scholarship and national scholarship funding standards for undergraduate and junior college students, increase the national student loan amount, reduce loan interest rates, and benefit 23 million students.
