The success of this test flight is an important milestone in the development of the TP500 project, marking a key step towards airworthiness evidence collection and commercial operation.
Experts from China Aviation Industry Corporation Co., Ltd. introduced that the TP500 UAV project is a large general unmanned cargo platform that is being developed and developed by AVIC First Aircraft Institute in accordance with the needs of drone cargo logistics, emergency rescue, special operations and other fields, in order to carry out airworthiness practices for large-scale civil unmanned aircraft and verify the use scenarios of branch unmanned aviation logistics, and in accordance with the requirements of drone airworthiness evidence collection.
TP500 drone has a low full life cycle usage cost. Relying on a mature power system and redundant flight control system, the aircraft has good safety, reliability and attendance.
"This aircraft is mainly located in the branch logistics transportation scenario, providing low-cost and intelligent solutions for express logistics companies and various short-distance air transportation needs. It can also be used for special purposes and emergency rescue in various scenarios. According to reports, the first aircraft of the TP500 drone achieved its first flight on June 18, 2022. This test flight is the first flight of the airworthy configuration prototype after design and optimization, laying an important foundation for subsequent airworthiness evidence collection.
