CCTV News: On February 28, the State Council Information Office held a regular briefing on the State Council’s policies to introduce the relevant situation of the State Council departments’ handling of the suggestions of the National People’s Congress deputies and the proposals of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference in 2024.
At the meeting, Xing Huina, deputy director and spokesperson of the News Bureau of the State Council Information Office, introduced that in 2024, various departments of the State Council hosted a total of 8,783 suggestions from the National People's Congress deputies of the Two Sessions and 4,813 proposals from the CPPCC, accounting for 95.1% and 96.1% of the total number of proposals and proposals, respectively, and they have been completed on time. The representatives and deputies expressed satisfaction with the handling work.
All departments regard the handling of suggestions and proposals as the annual key special work, concentrate superior resources, innovate methods, strengthen communication and exchanges throughout the cycle and throughout the process of handling suggestions and proposals, and promote further improvement of the quality and efficiency of handling suggestions and proposals. All departments have adopted more than 5,000 opinions and suggestions from representatives and deputies, and issued more than 2,000 relevant policies and measures, effectively promoting the resolution of a series of key and difficult issues related to reform and development and the vital interests of the people, and have achieved new work results in promoting high-quality economic development, comprehensively deepening reform, promoting the implementation of the strategy of building a country with science and education, promoting the comprehensive revitalization of rural areas, and ensuring and improving people's livelihood.
