CCTV News: The National Energy Administration issued the "Guiding Opinions on Energy Work in 2025" on February 27. This year, the total installed capacity of power generation in the country reached more than 3.6 billion kilowatts, and the scale of new energy power generation was more than 200 million kilowatts.

In terms of energy supply guarantee, this year, my country's crude oil production must maintain more than 200 million tons, natural gas production must maintain rapid growth, and the scale of oil and gas reserves will continue to increase. The total installed capacity of power generation in the country has reached more than 3.6 billion kilowatts, the installed capacity of new energy power generation is more than 200 million kilowatts, the power generation volume has reached about 10.6 trillion kilowatt hours, and the cross-provincial and cross-regional transmission capacity has continued to improve.

In terms of green and low-carbon transformation, the proportion of non-fossil energy power generation will increase to about 60%, and the proportion of non-fossil energy to total energy consumption will increase to about 20%. The utilization rate of wind power and photovoltaic power generation must be maintained at a reasonable level. We must initially build a national unified power market system and further optimize resource allocation.

National Energy Administration: There are more than 20 key tasks for energy work in 2025

In order to achieve these goals, the "Guiding Opinions on Energy Work in 2025" released on the 27th clarifies more than 20 key tasks.

In 2025, my country will consolidate the foundation for energy security, promote the construction of coal supply security bases, orderly approve a number of large modern coal mines, accelerate the construction of Daqing and Shengli national shale oil demonstration zones, continuously improve oil and gas reserve capacity, promote the construction of gas storage projects, and promote the construction of major coal-to-oil and gas projects. At the same time, we will promote the implementation of energy planning in the Yangtze River Delta, the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, the Yellow River Basin and other regions, and accelerate the construction of a number of ultra-high voltage exchange projects.

In 2025, my country will maintain a good development trend of non-fossil energy. Actively promote the construction of the second and third batches of large-scale wind power photovoltaic bases and water, wind and light integrated bases in major river basins, and promote the installed capacity of pumped storage to reach more than 62 million kilowatts.

A relevant person in charge of the National Energy Administration said that this year, my country will vigorously implement renewable energy replacement actions in key areas such as industry, transportation, construction, and data centers, actively support the construction of zero-carbon parks and the integration of photovoltaic buildings, and better promote the on-site consumption of new energy. Continue to promote the "three reforms and linkage" of coal-fired power and the elimination of backward production capacity.

In 2025, my country will coordinate the construction of new power systems. Strengthen the effective connection between the construction of new power systems and the "two-fold" and "two-new" policies, do a good job in the construction and transformation of distribution networks, and promote the high-quality development of virtual power plants.

In terms of deepening the construction of a unified national power market, the provincial power spot market will be basically fully covered this year. Further expand the trading scale of the power market in the Yangtze River Delta and promote the construction of the power market in Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei.
