In 2024, the total national service import and export volume reached RMB 7.5 trillion, a record high, exceeding US$1 trillion for the first time in US dollars; service retail sales achieved a growth of 6.2%, and residents' service consumption expenditure increased by 7.4% year-on-year, contributing to the growth of consumer expenditure reached 63%.
On February 21, the State Council Executive Meeting proposed to attract domestic and foreign investment to the field of service consumption through the methods of "opening up to the outside world" and "lifting up to the inside", fully stimulate market forces, and better meet the people's quality consumption needs.
