CCTV News: According to the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, on February 26, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs held a video conference on stabilizing employment for people who have been lifted out of poverty, thoroughly study and implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and the Second and Third Plenary Sessions of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, fully implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speech on high-quality and full employment, implement the deployment of the Central Economic Work Conference and the Central Rural Work Conference, summarize the experience and practices of employment assistance for people who have been lifted out of poverty, analyze the current situation and tasks, and deploy the next key tasks. The meeting pointed out that in 2024, under the strong leadership of the Party Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping as the core, all localities carried out in-depth actions to prevent relapse into poverty and employment, stabilized the scale of work, increased wage income, and made positive contributions to consolidating and expanding the results of poverty alleviation and comprehensively promoting rural revitalization, providing strong support for economic development, improvement of people's livelihood and social stability.
The meeting emphasized that this year is the last year for the transition period to consolidate and expand the results of poverty alleviation. We must deeply grasp the new goals, new requirements, new challenges and new nodes of employment assistance work, aim at the goals and tasks of "two stability and one prevention", strengthen the expansion of jobs through multiple channels, focus on both working outside and employment nearby; strengthen systematic coordination and promote the integrated promotion of services, training and rights protection; strengthen all-round support, focus on key groups and key areas to overcome difficulties, and keep our enthusiasm and strength unscathed. We must deepen our understanding of the regularity of employment assistance work, steadily promote the implementation of various tasks, and achieve smooth transition and orderly connection.
