What development opportunities do private enterprises feel?
Director of Shenzhen Yuntian Lifei Technology Co., Ltd. Deng Haoran: Private enterprises can achieve greater development under the large domestic demand market.
Deputy General Manager of Shenzhen Shifeng Technology Co., Ltd. Rong Jie: The country's emphasis on R&D and innovation can allow young Chinese engineers to grow quickly.
Sun Dongming, co-founder of Liaoning Lengxin Semiconductor Technology Co., Ltd.: The Private Economy Promotion Law (Draft) involves a lot about how to promote scientific and technological innovation private enterprises to strengthen scientific and technological innovation and contribute to the security and independent control of our country's industrial chain.
The reporter came to the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and visited many technologically innovative private enterprises in Shenzhen, Dongguan and other places to listen to the voice of the industry.
In a semiconductor precision packaging workshop in Songshan Lake Hi-tech Zone, Dongguan, the reporter saw that bare memory chips are being precision mounted by domestic equipment, which was once a key technology "bottleneck" in the field of semiconductor manufacturing. In the past few decades, Chinese users have not dared to change even a part model on the device, let alone change the entire device brand.
Yang Yang Yang, CEO of Dongguan Contact Intelligent Equipment Co., Ltd.: On this segment, Japanese companies were monopolized two years ago, and they (in China) basically account for more than 90% of the entire market. Since our device appeared, our (domestic) market share has exceeded 50% as of last year.
What surprised the reporter was that such a breakthrough came from a small private enterprise that had been founded for only 8 years. Like most startups, they are short of funds, talents and resources at the beginning. In 2019, the company "visited three times" and welcomed the joining of a doctorate from overseas, which finally gained the recognition of capital.
Chen Shubin, Chairman of Dongguan Contact Intelligent Equipment Co., Ltd.: In the past four years, we have raised 400 million yuan, and about 300 million yuan is used for R&D investment.
Focusing on doing one thing well, the scientific research team achieved domestic substitution and "overtaking on the curve" of the track last year. This year they plan to launch AI chip packaging solutions to further break the foreign technology blockade.
Chen Shubin, Chairman of Dongguan Contact Intelligent Equipment Co., Ltd.: Our confidence comes from three points. The first is the country's determination to the industrial chain, because this is at the strategic level, and no one in the world wants to lag behind in the field of AI (artificial intelligence). The second confidence is for our talents, with a large number of excellent Chinese and excellent Chinese engineers going overseas to study and return. The third point is that China still has a very good entrepreneurial hot spot, with the spirit of hard work, wisdom and perseverance.
A private enterprise symposium was just held in Beijing, and the private economy will surely become a hot word at this year's Two Sessions.
What expectations do representatives and deputies and enterprises have for this year’s Two Sessions?
National People's Congress Representative, Chairman and President of Guangdong Tosda Technology Co., Ltd. Wu Fengli: For some emerging industries, from policies to funds to talents to fairness, I think it should bring great help to private enterprises.
Director of Shenzhen Yuntian Lifei Technology Co., Ltd. Deng Haoran: We also look forward to the future of national and private enterprises to increase their confidence in each other. All kinds of government and enterprise projects in the country can increase the participation of private enterprises.
Ye Hongkang, Director of the Contact Intelligence Research Institute: Is it more open to science and technology policies, including (private enterprises participating in) international exchanges, etc., how to break the foreign monopoly?
Member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and Chief Scientist of the National Key R&D Program Sun Zhijia: How to let high-end technicians in private enterprises enter our country's science and technology system, including professional title system and national-level project application system, I think this is an aspect we need to think about.
