CCTV News: Anji Yu Village has created an international style of rural revitalization through an international perspective and innovative model, while Lao Mden Village in Nujiang, Yunnan has relied on Chinese intangible cultural heritage jewelry to empower culturally and industrial revitalize. From poor mountain villages to "Internet celebrity places" for rural tourism, National People's Congress representative Yu Wulin is the key "pusher" among them, and we will unlock his "password" of rural revitalization.

National People's Congress representative Yu Wulin comes from Laomden Village, Fugong County, Nujiang Prefecture, Yunnan Province. "Old Mden" is the translation of Nu people, meaning "where people like to come." It is surrounded by mountains, shrouded in clouds and mist, and has a strong national custom. It is called the "village on the clouds" and the most beautiful village in China.

In the past, the traffic in Lao Mden Village was blocked and information was scarce. The villagers guarded the good scenery, but lived a hard life. Since the fight against poverty, Lao Mden Village has undergone earth-shaking changes, and more and more tourists have come to Lao Mden Village to check in.
Yu Wulin took the lead in opening an inn and a farm stay in the village. Under his leadership, more and more villagers joined in and held up the "tourist bowl" at their doorstep.
Through several years of development, Yu Wulin gradually realized that rural tourism is not just as simple as providing tourists with services to eat and sleep. With national cultural characteristics, the development of rural tourism has truly had a "soul". Therefore, Yu Wulin began to lead the villagers to explore new ways of integrating agriculture, culture and tourism.
Yu Wulin teaches villagers the Nu nationality singing and dancing and "Dabia" to play for free, and also forms an intangible cultural heritage performance team to launch the "intangible cultural heritage exhibition + bonfire party", which not only increases the income of villagers, but also brings immersive and interactive cultural experience to tourists.
As the number of tourists increases, the village becomes lively, farmhouses and homestays are booming, and agricultural products such as Lao Mucha have become popular. Today, there are 50 farmhouses and B&Bs in Old Mden Village, and more than half of the villagers are engaged in tourism-related work.
Yu Wulin said: "As a member of the National People's Congress, I not only want to lead everyone to increase their income and become rich, but also always pay attention to the troubles of the villagers and bring real changes to the development of my hometown. This year, I will still focus on the integrated development of agriculture, culture and tourism. I would like to suggest that we should further strengthen the protection of intangible cultural heritage, vigorously promote the successful experience of the integration of intangible cultural heritage and tourism, and continue to explore new concepts and new paths to promote cultural tourism and rural revitalization with intangible cultural heritage."
