CCTV News: According to the latest data from the General Administration of Customs, China's automobile export volume has exceeded 6.4 million vehicles in 2024, ranking first in the world.

In Shanghai Port, the roll-on-roll-off automobile throughput was 3.63 million vehicles in 2024, an increase of 15% year-on-year. Throughput jumped first in the world for the first time, of which the throughput of foreign trade automobiles accounted for more than 60%. At present, Shanghai Port has 15 international car roll-on routes, reaching 289 ports in 131 countries and regions.
Innovative record: More than 4,000 domestically produced cars from Tianjin Port are shipped to South America
In Tianjin Port, the largest automobile import and export hub port in northern my country, on February 26, more than 4,000 domestically produced independent brands from the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region set sail from Tianjin Port Global Ro-Ro-Wait Terminal, and went to South America and other markets, which also set a new record for Tianjin Port single-ship foreign trade export commodity vehicles.

This batch of vehicles is "developed in Beijing, manufactured in Tianjin and Hebei", covering a variety of types such as pure electric, hybrid and fuel vehicles. At present, Tianjin Port has ro-ro routes to more than 30 countries and regions including Europe, the Middle East, South America, etc. In particular, the new direct flights, Mexico's Ro-ro Ro route opened in January this year, has opened up a new strategic channel for China's automobile exports.
