The General Administration of Customs recently released data showing that in 2024, my country has import and export records to almost all countries and regions in the United Nations statistical sub-group, among which exports to more than 160 countries and regions have achieved growth.
In 2024, my country's export scale exceeded 25 trillion yuan for the first time, reaching 25.45 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 7.1%, maintaining growth for eight consecutive years.
The continuous expansion of the "Friends" provides new growth points for my country's exports. According to customs statistics, in 2024, my country's exports to countries with jointly building the "Belt and Road" increased by 9.6% year-on-year, exports to ASEAN increased by 13.4%, growth to Brazil by 23.3%, growth to the UAE by 19.2%, and growth to Saudi Arabia by 18.2%. At the same time, traditional markets such as the EU and the United States grew by 4.3% and 6.1% respectively.
In addition, as the world's largest manufacturing country and largest manufacturing exporter, in 2024, manufacturing accounted for 98.9% of my country's total export value, of which 14.69 trillion yuan of equipment manufacturing exports, 5.43 trillion yuan of consumer goods manufacturing exports, and 3.12 trillion yuan of raw materials manufacturing exports.
Regarding this year's export trend, Lu Daliang, Director of the Statistical Analysis Department of the General Administration of Customs, said that despite the increasing external environment and uncertain challenges, my country's exports have the characteristics of a complete range of products, flexible growth momentum conversion, and diversified and stable markets. The effects of a package of incremental policies and stock policies have been continuously released, which has also formed a stronger support for exports. my country's exports will continue to show resilience and vitality.
