1. There will be a large-scale rain and snow process in the central and eastern regions. From the night of January 30 to February 2, there will be a large-scale rain and snow process in the central and eastern regions. There will be light to moderate snow or sleet in eastern Gansu, southern Shaanxi, western Huanghuai, northern Jianghan and other places, heavy snow will occur in some areas such as southern Shaanxi, northwestern Hubei, western Henan, and southeastern Gansu, and local blizzards (10-15 mm). The above-mentioned areas have added snow depths of 2 to 4 cm, and some are more than 6 cm, and most areas in the south will have light to moderate rain and some are heavy rain.
From February 2 to 4, strong cold air affected the central and eastern regions, with temperatures falling by 4 to 6℃ in most parts of the northwest region, western and northern North China, northeastern region, eastern Jiangnan, and southern China, and dropped by 6 to 8℃ in some areas, and locally above 10℃. Most of the above-mentioned northern regions were accompanied by northerly winds of level 4 to 6, with gusts of level 7 to 8; there were winds of level 7 to 8 in the eastern and southern waters, with gusts of level 8 to 9. In addition, in the next three days, there will be strong winds in most parts of Tibet, southern Qinghai, western Sichuan Plateau, northern Yunnan, etc., with winds of level 5-7 and gusts of level 8-10, and gusts of some areas of Tibet can reach level 11 or above.
2. There will be heavy fog in the Qiongzhou Strait and other waters
It is expected that from the night of January 30 to the morning of the 31st, there will be heavy fog with visibility of less than 1 kilometer in the Qiongzhou Strait, the coastal waters of Leizhou Peninsula, the western coastal waters of Guangxi, and the central and southern coastal waters of Shandong Peninsula. In addition, there is heavy fog in some areas of northeastern Jiangsu, western Hubei, western Chongqing, etc., and there is thick fog with visibility of less than 500 meters in local areas. To this end, the Central Meteorological Observatory issued a yellow warning for heavy fog at 18:00 on January 30.
3. Specific forecast for the next three days
From 20:00 on January 30 to 20:00 on January 31, there will be light to moderate snow or sleet in some areas such as northern Xinjiang, northeastern Inner Mongolia, central and northern Heilongjiang, northern western Sichuan Plateau, eastern Gansu, southern Shaanxi, most of Henan, and northwestern Hubei. Among them, there will be heavy to moderate snow in some areas such as the mountainous areas of northern Xinjiang, southern Shaanxi, southern and western Henan, and northwestern Hubei. There will be light to moderate rain in some areas of southeastern Tibet, eastern Southwest, most of Jianghan, most of Jianghuai, most of Jiangnan, and most of South China. There will be winds of 5 to 7 levels in some areas of Tibet, southern Qinghai and other places (see Figure 1).
