A relevant person in charge of the State Forestry and Grassland Administration introduced that in 2024, the State Forestry and Grassland Administration introduced 10 measures to stabilize forest land contract relations, promote the transfer of forest rights, cultivate large-scale business entities, and promote the rational use of forest resources, actively and steadily promote the innovation of collective forest rights system, and implement six major actions for scientific and technological services to collective forest reform, and promote the national collective forest reform in depth and practice. Up to now, the goal of "separating power from mountains, defining roots from trees, and defining people's minds" has been fully achieved. The national collective forest area has increased by 34% compared with before forest reform, and the forest stock has nearly doubled. Collective forestry has driven employment of more than 47 million farmers, and the average output of collective forest land is 300 yuan, an increase of more than three times compared with before the forest reform.

The National Forestry and Grassland Administration also vigorously develops economic forests and forest economy, accelerates the expansion of forest food production and increase quality, and actively builds a diversified food supply system. Forest food such as oil tea, olive oil, walnuts, chestnuts, forest medicines, forest fungi, etc. have been included in the key development scope. 7.13 million mu of new oil tea planting and low-yield forest transformation were completed throughout the year, and the tea oil output reached 1 million tons. At present, my country's annual forest food production exceeds 200 million tons, making it the third most important agricultural product after grain and vegetables.

The person in charge said that in the next step, the State Forestry and Grassland Administration will anchor the goal of ecological beauty and people's prosperity, promote the improvement of policy measures in forest rights transfer, forest logging, forestry finance, etc., study and formulate policy documents to support the high-quality development of wood and bamboo industry, woody grain and oil and forest economy, encourage and support local governments to carry out pioneering trials, timely summarize and promote innovative achievements, and promote new breakthroughs in the reform of the collective forest rights system and the development of the forestry industry to a new level.
