The new version of the "National Food Safety Standards Food Additives Usage Standards" (GB 2760-2024) was officially implemented on February 8. The new national standard stipulates that food additive varieties such as sunflower red, dense yellow, sour jujube color, sea anise gum, azoformamide, etc., which are no longer process-necessary after investigation, shall not be used in all types of foods. Preservatives are not allowed in canned foods, mainly involving food additives such as streptococcin lactate, sorbic acid and its potassium salts, stable chlorine dioxide. The preservative dehydroacetic acid shall not be used in bread, pastries, baked goods fillings and surface slurries, and the colorant lemon yellow is no longer allowed to be used on cake sandwich.

The mandatory national standard "Sanitary Requirements for Bulk Transport of Edible Vegetable Oil" (GB 44917-2024) shall be implemented from February 1. The standard proposes that edible vegetable oil contained in containers such as cabins, oil tanks, container liquid bags, and large-capacity oil barrels are transported in bulk via roads, waterways, railways, etc. The standard stipulates that food-specific containers should be transported in bulk with edible vegetable oil, and the words "edible oil" or "food-specific" should be clearly marked in prominent positions outside the container, and both inside and outside the container should be clean and hygienic. Containers that transport non-food food should not transport edible vegetable oil.

The judicial interpretation is clear about marriage and family disputes such as real estate division. Documents produced and issued shall not contain false records, misleading statements or major omissions.

The "Administrative adjudication and mediation Measures for patent disputes" will come into effect on February 1. The Measures shall implement the relevant contents of the newly revised Patent Law, and add relevant chapters such as administrative rulings for major patent infringement disputes, administrative rulings for early resolution mechanisms for drug patent disputes, and administrative mediation for the implementation of patent open licensing. At the same time, further improve the actual standards for case handling and optimize the case handling procedures.
