In Liuhe District, Nanjing, Jiangsu, the modernization renovation project of Xinyuhe Irrigation District was recently completed. The newly built digital twin platform can not only inspect and dispatch every pump station facility in the irrigation area, but also gather massive data and customize scientific irrigation plans. During the 14th Five-Year Plan period, my country allocated 200 billion yuan of central funds to modernize and transform more than 2,500 large and medium-sized irrigation areas, and 49 irrigation areas promoted digital twin pilot projects. In spring irrigation and drought resistance in 2024, the digital irrigation zones have generally improved water resource utilization efficiency by about 10%.

New Year's new equipment. On January 5, the "Jianghan Ping'an" double shield hard rock boring machine with the largest diameter and most complete functions among the tunnel projects under construction in my country was launched in Hubei and will be used for the construction of the Yangtze River and supplementary project. The excavation diameter of this boring machine is 11.93 meters, with a total length of about 180 meters, and a total weight of the whole machine is about 3550 tons.

Fu Haibin, chief engineer of the Civil Engineering Standard 2 of the China Railway Third Bureau's River Inlet and Buhan Project, said: "With normal operation, this double shield hard rock excavator can reach a monthly excavation progress of about 260 meters, thereby ensuring that the tunnel of this section of the road is completed by 2030."
