Jindong Village is located in Zhangpu County, Zhangzhou City, Fujian Province, with its back mountains and seas. There is a earthen building in the village called Jinjiang Tower. It has been standing for more than 200 years. In 2008, it was an important part of the Fujian earthen building group and was selected as a World Cultural Heritage Site.

This year, China's "Spring Festival" was successfully applied for the World Heritage. Chen Liping wanted to build a village night for her fellow villagers in Tulou for more than 200 years with intangible cultural heritage as the theme.

Worried that no one came, Chen Liping decided to go to the fields to find someone.

Chen Liping decided to open the door to hold a "village evening" through visits. The Jindong Village where she lives and the nearby villages have a deep cultural foundation in southern Fujian, including many representative projects of national intangible cultural heritage.

Lin Jianming is the captain of the dragon dance team in the village. He said that there are 30 people in the dragon dance team. Usually, he uses his spare time to dance dragons. As the Spring Festival approaches, the family is very busy, but he promises to try his best to summon people to participate in the rehearsal.

Amei's puppets are loved by the public, and Minnan puppets were included in the national list of representative projects of intangible cultural heritage as early as 2006. Amei broke the tradition of "only seeing puppets but not seeing people" and innovatively adopted the performance form of "dolls on the same stage", and the number of fans soared. Amei made the troupe popular and brought out many apprentices. In 2024 alone, they performed more than 330 shows, and they performed one almost every day.

When Chen Liping was the first secretary, the primary school in Jindong Village took the initiative to teach and became a music teacher because there was no music teacher in the elementary school in Jindong Village. This time, Chen Liping will take the children to the stage with her children.

The program list of "Village Evening" is constantly enriching, and 7 of the 9 programs are intangible cultural heritage. The villagers were very active in the rehearsal on this day, and many people simply stopped all the work in order to rehearse. However, not everyone can arrive in time.

The dragon dance team had a problem. During the rehearsal, only one "old leader" came.

In view of the actual difficulties of the team members, Chen Liping and the staff who prepared for the village evening applied to cooperate with the dragon dance team to conduct another rehearsal at 8 pm. But can the Dragon Dance Team really come? The staff were unsure.

Everyone was busy waiting for the dragon dance team while waiting for the official performance the next day.

At 9 pm, the dragon dance team came to the Tulou to conduct rehearsals. The staff's heart was finally relieved.

The next afternoon, the villagers had been looking forward to the long-awaited "Village Evening" and officially started the show.

The dragon dance team, which was full of twists and turns during rehearsal, shone the audience's eyes as soon as they appeared.

There is a universe in the palm, and the fingertips are the heaven and earth. On the day of the performance, Amei not only invited the master to perform on the same stage, but also invited the puppet puppets to compete on the same stage.

The whole "village evening" was also a program written and directed by a villager, which was very popular. They brought all the specialty agricultural products they grew and the seafood they grew to the stage to present a creative fashion show.

The villagers not only combined Chinese and Western musical instruments, but also the national intangible cultural heritage "Xiang Opera" performance was also equipped with the production skills of "Red Mud Small Furnace".
