From New Year's Eve to the seventh day of the first lunar month, from January 28 to February 4, the inbound and outbound passenger flow through the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge will exceed 900,000 passengers and more than 150,000 vehicles. The peak period of entry and exit will be concentrated between the third to the fifth day of the Chinese New Year. The maximum inbound and exit passenger flow in a single day is expected to reach 140,000 passengers, and the maximum inbound and exit vehicle flow in a single day will reach 22,000 vehicles.

Now at the port of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, in addition to the continuous flow of people and vehicles, nearly 1 million packages are sent to all parts of the world every day, and the new foreign trade format is developing rapidly.

On January 26, a batch of cross-border e-commerce parcels were inspected by customs and were transported to Hong Kong Airport via the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, and then sent to Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and other countries. In recent years, the supply chain company responsible for the transportation of this batch of goods has gradually expanded from Hong Kong and Macao to international markets such as Europe and America with the convenience advantages of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge.

The person in charge of a cross-border e-commerce company in Zhuhai told reporters that with the continuous improvement of customs clearance time, e-commerce goods exported on the bridge (port) can now achieve one-day delivery in Hong Kong and Macao and seven-day delivery in the world. The company's e-commerce orders are increasing.

Customs recently introduced new policies, introducing convenience measures such as canceling the filing of cross-border e-commerce export overseas warehouse companies, and further simplifying the procedures for applying for export documents.

The fourth section of the Customs Supervision Section of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, Gong Zhongnian introduced that in view of the characteristics of a wide variety of cross-border e-commerce products and high customs clearance efficiency requirements, the customs explored and implemented a cross-border e-commerce embedded smart customs supervision model, realizing the intelligence of the same screen comparison, and automation of inspection and sorting, which greatly improved the customs clearance efficiency of cross-border e-commerce products.
