CCTV News: With the implementation of the national subsidy policy for "old for new" for car purchases this year, many consumers choose to change their new cars to go home for the New Year before the Spring Festival holiday, which has also boosted the automobile consumption market. Let's go to Shanghai to have a look.

Before the Spring Festival, the reporter visited several car sales stores in Shanghai, and there were endless customers coming to buy. Mr. Gui exchanged his old car for a new one in early January, and came to the store early today to pick up the car, preparing to go home for the New Year.

The person in charge of the store introduced that the "old trade-in" policy has obvious effect on automobile consumption, and the OEM has also provided different degrees of preferential support, and it is expected that a large amount of passenger flow will be brought during the Spring Festival.

Data from the Ministry of Commerce shows that since 2024, the old-for-new has been promoted vigorously and orderly, and the policy effect has been accelerated. As of December 9, 2024, the total number of applications for automobile trade-in subsidies nationwide exceeded 5 million.
