Statistical Bulletin Data shows that telecommunications business maintained steady growth in 2024, with the total telecommunications business calculated based on the price of the previous year increasing by 10% year-on-year. Among them, the proportion of revenue of emerging businesses mainly including cloud computing, big data, Internet of Things, data centers, etc. has risen to one-quarter, an increase of 10.6% year-on-year, and contributes 78% to the growth of telecommunications business revenue.

The scale of mobile phone users continues to increase. As of the end of 2024, the total number of mobile phone users nationwide reached 1.79 billion, of which more than 1 billion 5G mobile phone users were included, accounting for 56.7% of mobile phone users. 5G network construction has achieved deep coverage, with 4.251 million 5G base stations, with an average of 30.2 5G base stations per 10,000 people. At the same time, the proportion of Gigabit users has exceeded 30%. 5G and gigabit optical networks widely empower the industry's digital transformation, with more than 17,000 "5G+Industrial Internet" projects, forming 20 typical scenarios in 10 major industries.
