The spokesperson emphasized that following the law must be followed and violating the law is the core essence of the rule of law, and cracking down on criminal acts endangering national security in accordance with the law is in line with the principle of the rule of law and international general rules. Some anti-China politicians in the United States ignore the objective facts of Hong Kong's good politics and have repeatedly concocted evil laws, threatened to sanction the SAR government officials, judges and prosecutors, openly trampled on the spirit of the rule of law, violated the principles of international law and basic norms of international relations, and fully exposed their ignorance, prejudice and hypocrisy.
The spokesperson emphasized that the historical trend of "one country, two systems" moving forward steadily and far-reachingly, and Hong Kong's growth from governance to prosperity will not change. No intimidation and threats will not shake the prosperity and stability of Hong Kong, the fact that Hong Kong's residents' rights and freedoms are fully protected, and the firm determination of patriotic and Hong Kong-loving people in the SAR to perform their duties in accordance with the law.
