CCTV News: According to the Central Meteorological Observatory, affected by the cold wave, the range of rain and snow will be further expanded in the next two days and enter the strongest period. The temperature in most parts of China will drop by 8 to 12℃. The Central Meteorological Observatory issued four warnings for cold wave yellow, heavy fog yellow, blizzard blue and strong wind blue at 6 a.m. on January 25.

Since the 23rd, continuous snowfall has occurred in many places in northern Xinjiang, with strong winds and cooling in some places. The snowfall in Urumqi lasted for two days, with the added snow thickness exceeding 10 cm. According to data provided by Xinjiang Expressway Traffic Police: Affected by snowfall, traffic control has been implemented in some sections of the road, and the S21 Awu Expressway heading to Altay in Xinjiang is implemented in two-way traffic control. Some sections of the G7 Beijing-Xinxin Expressway have been slippery due to snowfall. Passing is carried by police cars. Hazardous chemical vehicles, yellow-card passenger cars, and large-scale transport vehicles are restricted. The toll stations along the ramps are closed.

Starting from the 24th, Gansu Province ushered in a large-scale heavy snowfall and cold wave. Affected by snowfall and road icing, temporary traffic control is implemented in some sections of more than ten expressways including G22 Qinglan Expressway, S15 Wuping Expressway, and G69 Yinbai Expressway in Gansu Province. The transportation department and the highway maintenance department have launched emergency plans and organized personnel and machinery to carry out snow removal and anti-slip operations.

Since the evening of the 23rd, snow began to fall in most parts of southern Ningxia, resulting in snow accumulation in some sections of the road, slippery road surface and low visibility. Temporary traffic control is implemented in 12 expressways, including Fuyin Expressway, Yinkun Expressway, Pengqing Expressway and many toll stations along the route in Ningxia, and some sections of provincial highways such as National Highway 309 and S60 have also been affected. The snowfall is still continuing, and the meteorological department expects that by the day of the 25th, most areas of Ningxia will experience light to moderate snow.

On the 24th, the Henan Provincial Meteorological Observatory issued a blue blizzard warning, a blue cold wave warning and a yellow road icing warning. At present, the snowfall in Luoyang, Sanmenxia and other places has basically stopped. According to the Henan Provincial Meteorological Observatory, the impact of this round of rain, snow and cold waves is wide. On the 25th, there will be light to moderate snow in western and northern Henan, with heavy to blizzards in some areas; there will be sleet to light to moderate snow in other counties and cities, with moderate to heavy snow in some areas.

The Central Meteorological Observatory predicts that on the 25th and 26th, there will be heavy to blizzards in some areas of Gansu, Ningxia, Shaanxi, Shanxi, Henan, Hubei, etc., among which there will be heavy blizzards in local areas in central and southern Shaanxi and western Henan, and the local new snow can reach more than 10 cm. In the next two days, the temperature in most parts of China will drop by 8 to 12℃, and the cooling range in the eastern part of the northwest region, western North China, and northern southwest region can reach more than 14℃.
