Unlike high-speed trains, ordinary speed trains, such trains do not use commuting tools as their main purpose, but provide diverse and comfortable travel services. CCTV reporter Liu Yanlin: Do you think I am in a retro and exquisite music restaurant now? But in fact, I am now on the Y452 special tourist train from Kunming to Chengdu West. This tourist train is themed on the Silk Road, and both inside and outside contain a large number of hardware facilities featuring Dunhuang culture. Similarly, passengers can enjoy the scenery along the way outside the window during the entire trip, and also taste Chinese and Western specialty catering and experience folk cultural activities.
This train was renovated from the original green train, with a total of 15 cars and 38 rooms, and a total of 80 passengers. The outside of the car is based on the theme of "Flying Silk Road", creating a visual experience of red, blue and yellow. The room types are divided into suites, large bed rooms, parent-child rooms and standard rooms. Each room has an independent bathroom.
During this two-day and one-night trip, passengers can not only play chess and cards, sing KTV, but also watch movies in the movie screening hall with the scenery along the way; or order drinks in the bar carriage and chat with relatives and friends. During the middle of the stop, passengers can choose to get off the bus to visit the attractions or experience local special tourism projects. It is understood that the special tourist train routes for this national tour are relatively rich, covering many places such as Xinjiang, southwest, southeast, and the Yangtze River Delta, and the journey durations of different routes are also different.
The reporter learned that this route design passed through Shiping County, Yunnan Province. There is a rice rail train with a history of over a hundred years. The cultural landscapes along the 7 stations are unique, which can enrich the passenger experience.
Data shows that during the Spring Festival, the national characteristic tourist trains operated in a total of more than 60 flights, and the routes involved areas with rich natural landscapes such as Heilongjiang, Inner Mongolia, Xinjiang, Yunnan, Sichuan, as well as characteristic cultural landscape scenic spots such as Henan, Shaanxi, Zhejiang, Anhui, and Guangdong.
