CCTV News: Data from the National Energy Administration shows that in December 2024, the National Energy Administration issued 199 million green certificates, a year-on-year increase of 2.12 times, involving 58,000 renewable energy power generation projects, a year-on-year increase of 21.29%, of which 146 million tradable green certificates were 73.29%. In November 2024, the renewable energy electricity volume corresponded to 159 million green certificates, accounting for 80.04%. The issuance of green certificates entered a new stage mainly based on the current renewable energy electricity volume.
From January to December 2024, the National Energy Administration issued a total of 4.734 billion green certificates, of which 3.158 billion green certificates can be traded. As of December 2024, a total of 4.955 billion green certificates have been issued nationwide, of which 3.379 billion can be traded. The issuance of the historical green electricity certificate for centralized renewable energy power generation projects that have been registered and registered has been basically completed.
In December 2024, the monthly transaction volume of green certificates exceeded 100 million for the first time, and 114 million green certificates were traded nationwide, setting a record high, of which 21.55 million green certificates were traded with Green Electric. From January to December 2024, 446 million green certificates were traded nationwide, of which 169 million green certificates were traded with Green Electric. As of December 2024, a total of 553 million green certificates were traded nationwide, of which 238 million were traded with Green Electric.
