In response to the British Foreign Minister Rammy and Deputy Government Affairs Officer West meeting with anti-China and Hong Kong rioters wanted by the Hong Kong SAR police, slandering the SAR's rule of law and normal law enforcement, and brutal interference in Hong Kong affairs and China's internal affairs, the Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Hong Kong issued a document on January 22 expressing strong dissatisfaction and firm opposition.
The spokesperson of the Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Hong Kong pointed out that Liu Jiawen and four others have been engaged in anti-China and Hong Kong rioters for a long time, fled overseas to take over foreign countries and respect themselves, and continued to build a platform for rioters in Hong Kong. Their bad behavior seriously endangers national security, seriously damages Hong Kong's fundamental interests, and seriously impacts the bottom line of "one country, two systems". Hong Kong is a society ruled by law, no one has extra-legal privileges, and any illegal and criminal acts will inevitably be punished by law. The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region police want anti-China and Hong Kong rioters and take corresponding law enforcement actions in accordance with the law, which is a legitimate move to safeguard Hong Kong's rule of law, stability and prosperity. The British side shook the flag and cheered for anti-China and Hong Kong rioters, and made all remarks on the legitimate law enforcement actions of the SAR, which was a complete blasphemy of the rule of law and grossly interfering in China's internal affairs, and seriously violated international law and basic norms of international relations.
The spokesperson emphasized that the Hong Kong National Security Law resolutely punishes criminal acts that endanger national security, demonstrates judicial fairness and social fairness and justice, promotes Hong Kong to achieve a major turning point from chaos to governance, and effectively guarantees the broad prospects for Hong Kong from governance and prosperity. The British side should recognize the historical trend, face up to the fact that Hong Kong has returned to the motherland for 27 years, listen to the true voice of the Hong Kong people to consolidate security, strive for economy, and seek development, respect Hong Kong's rule of law, respect China's sovereignty, and immediately stop interfering in Hong Kong affairs and China's internal affairs!
