The average annual temperature in Hong Kong, China exceeds 20 degrees Celsius. Although located in the subtropical zone, there are a group of people chasing their dreams on the ice.

Lin Jingxin is an athlete of the Hong Kong short track speed skating team in China. In the past few years, she often trained in the mainland and had many athletes and coaches from the Northeast. Slowly, she soaked a mouthful of "big slags" in the ice rink.
Lin Jingxin is the best among short track speed skaters in Hong Kong. The upcoming Harbin Asian Winter Games will be her first Asian Winter Games tour. "I have been preparing for the Asian Winter Games in the past year, and I will do my best," said Lin Jingxin.

Lin Jingxin's head coach Sun Dandan was once one of the "four golden flowers" of the golden generation of China's short track. "I have a lot of connections with Hong Kong. Whether I was an athlete in the Chinese national team or a coach in Jilin Province, I had trained with Hong Kong short track speed skating athletes," Sun Dandan recalled.
Sun Dandan witnessed the continuous improvement of Hong Kong short track speed skaters' performance. In her opinion, the development prospects of winter sports in Hong Kong are very good. Sun Dandan looks forward to the future of the Hong Kong winter sports athletes in China, Hong Kong, and the world's highest podium.

Zhu Dingwen, a Hong Kong short track speed skating athlete, served as the flag bearer of the Chinese Hong Kong delegation at the opening ceremony of the Beijing Winter Olympics. The showdown with the world's strong players gave Zhu Dingwen valuable experience and inspired another wish in his heart, which was to allow more Hong Kong citizens to experience short track speed skating.
After the Beijing Winter Olympics, Zhu Dingwen founded the Hong Kong Speed Skating Academy and held various experience classes and training camps. "I hope to select some athletes with more potential from it, and one day I will train an Olympic champion," said Zhu Dingwen.

In addition, Zhu Dingwen also actively created conditions to allow more senior coaches to participate in the cultivation of Hong Kong short track speed skating talents, and coach Wang Chuang of the China Hong Kong Skating League is one of them.
Wang Chuang said: "The children I have come into contact with like the short track speed skating event very much. I hope to build a good talent team for the Hong Kong short track speed skating event in the next two to three years."

The 9th Asian Winter Conference in Harbin is about to open, and the number of participants in the Hong Kong delegation in China is at its highest in history. Lin Jingxin and Zhu Dingwen will both step onto the field, while Sun Dandan and Wang Chuang will participate as coaches. Looking forward to the performance of Chinese Hong Kong athletes at the Asian Winter Games! Come on for them together!
