A relevant person in charge of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology said that in 2024, the cumulative revenue of telecommunications business exceeded 1.7 trillion yuan in the whole year, and the total volume of telecommunications business increased by 10% year-on-year.
Xie Cun, Director of the Information and Communication Development Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, said that in 2025, we will continue to focus on "construction, use and research" and promote the development of the information and communication industry to achieve three "upgrades". Network evolution and upgrading, improve the "dual gigabit" network upgrade policy, pilot the deployment of 10 Gigabit optical network, and orderly promote the optimization of the layout of the computing power center construction.
The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology also stated that in terms of integrated application upgrades, in 2025, it will also create an upgraded version of 5G applications "Shang Sail" and "5G+Industrial Internet" to accelerate the popularization of the new generation of information technology in all aspects and the entire chain.
