Shopping in the "Wenshi" temple fair, enjoying the Red House culture, shopping for cultural and creative products, and enjoying the charm of ice and snow... Located in the Xicheng District of Beijing, west of the central axis of Beijing, it focuses on the theme of "check in the 'Beihai Dachang' to play the New Year of the Snake" and combines the two "Heritage Application" elements of "central axis" and "Spring Festival", to create four good places: Beijing Fang New Year Cultural Fair, Shichahai Lotus Market Ice and Snow Carnival, Grand View Garden Red House Cultural Fair and Changdian Temple Fair.
"Spring Festival - Social Practice for Chinese Celebrating the Traditional New Year" was included in the UNESCO List of Representative Human Intangible Cultural Heritage on December 4, 2024. The Changdian Temple Fair is one of the important components. As the first batch of national intangible cultural heritage projects, "Shopping in Changdian" is the unique Spring Festival memory of old Beijingers.
This year, the Changdian Temple Fair will bring you a new feeling of the "intangible cultural heritage version" Spring Festival, and many "first" collectively made their debut.
The Changdian Temple Fair designed the theme LOGO and cartoon mascot for the first time. In terms of design, the overall image is based on traditional Chinese lanterns as elements, internalizing the Chinese character "Changdian" and four treasures of study such as brushes and inkstones, highlighting the characteristics of the traditional "Wenshi" temple fair. The cartoon mascot "Chunsheng" has stepped on an inkstone, held a brush in his arms, and carried a scholar in his back. It is also the first time that it has appeared as a cultural and creative brand.
The Grand View Garden Red Building Temple Fair will highlight the cultural characteristics of the Red Building and create a new experience of immersive parks in the entire region. The stalls in the park are dressed in antique makeup and props, allowing tourists to more immersively visit the entire event venue route.
In addition to the two major temple fairs, Xicheng District of Beijing will also hold two theme activities in Beijing Fang and Shichahai Lotus Market on the central axis "one south and one north", from lighting up the century-old historical light street to looking up at the dazzling sky "stars and sea", from immersing in VR to experiencing the beauty of culture to check in to the international style "Frozen", let the people feel the combination of tradition and modernity on the central axis, and the "sense of technology" and "fashion" full of the New Year atmosphere.
