CCTV News: On January 21, the Spring Festival travel rush has entered its eighth day. Data from the 2025 comprehensive transportation Spring Festival travel work team shows that the cross-regional flow of people in the whole society is expected to exceed 1.3 billion in the first week of the Spring Festival travel rush. On January 20, the cross-regional flow of people in the whole society is expected to exceed 210 million. The passenger flow of railways, highways and civil aviation has increased significantly, and the transportation department has increased its capacity to ensure smooth travel for passengers.
Data from the China Railway Group showed that on January 20, the national railway passenger flow continued to rise, with 13.45 million passengers expected to be sent, and 862 passenger trains were planned to be added. Since the Spring Festival train tickets were launched, as of 9 a.m. on January 20, Railway 12306 has issued a total of 214 million tickets during the Spring Festival train, and the system operates safely and stably.

With the gradual increase in passenger flow during the Spring Festival travel rush before the festival, the railway department focuses on increasing capacity deployment in hot spots such as Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Chengdu and Chongqing. Starting from January 20, 128 night high-speed railways have been added to the Nanguan Railway, Guizhou-Guangzhou High-speed Railway and other lines, setting a record high in the number of operations. The Yangtze River Delta Railway also plans to launch 268 night high-speed railways on the 20th, mainly popular directions such as the Yangtze River Delta to Sichuan, Chongqing, Yunnan, Guizhou, Henan, and Northwest.

According to the railway ticket pre-sale rules, starting from January 21, passengers can buy tickets for the last day of the Spring Festival holiday, that is, February 4 (the seventh day of the first lunar month).
Wang Juan, technician at the first workshop of Guangzhou South Railway Station, said: "The railway department reminds passengers to choose the official 12306 website or mobile app to buy tickets. Don't believe in the so-called "acceleration package" of third-party websites. You can use the 12306 "article" function without buying tickets."

With the start of the Spring Festival travel rush, the traffic flow on highways in various places has gradually increased. On the 20th, the national highway flow was expected to exceed 197 million. In Lishui, Zhejiang, local highway traffic police use drones to quickly deal with accidents to avoid traffic congestion.

Lishui Expressway Traffic Police (drone calls): "We are Lishui Expressway Traffic Police. Please prepare to evacuate immediately. Yunhe exit ahead will deal with you. The door is closed, but the door has not been closed yet."

After hearing the shouting, the drivers and passengers of the two accident vehicles drove away from the scene of the accident and went to the designated location to deal with the accident. Subsequently, this section of highway gradually resumed normal traffic.
In terms of civil aviation, 2.22 million passengers are expected to be sent on January 20. On the basis of increasing the number of popular routes between the four major urban agglomerations of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei, the Yangtze River Delta, Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao and Chengdu-Chongqing, airlines have also focused on increasing the capacity of popular routes of "ice and snow tours" and "island tours".

General Manager of the Marketing Department of the Air China Commerce Commission said: "Including traditional hot spots such as Hainan and Kunming and emerging hot spots such as Harbin, there are currently sufficient discount tickets for water transportation."
In terms of water transportation, since the Spring Festival travel rush, the passenger flow from the mainland to and from Hong Kong and Macao has gradually increased. In the first seven days, Shenzhen launched an average of more than 84 flights of Hong Kong and Macao expressway passenger ships per day, an increase of about 29.2% over the daily life. Shenzhen's maritime department has also increased its safety inspections on all high-speed passenger ships.

Ren Hongliang, the duty director of Guangzhou Ship Traffic Management Center, said: "We have upgraded the ship traffic management system of the Pearl River Estuary, and for the first time, we have achieved intelligent tracking of all Hong Kong and Macao high-speed passenger ships in the Pearl River Estuary through the integrated platform of maritime supervision and service guarantee."
