The scope of national subsidies for old-for-new products has expanded from home appliances and cars to daily consumer electronics, driving both production and sales.

According to this policy requirements, mobile phones, tablets, and smart watches and bracelets products with final sales price not exceeding 6,000 yuan can participate in the subsidy. Among them, products with a price of 3,300-6,000 yuan can be subsidized by 500 yuan; products with a price of less than 3,300 yuan will be subsidized according to the 15% standard.
The hot scene on the sales side has also driven a surge in orders on the production side. In a front-end production company in Jiangsu, all processes are automated. The relevant person in charge told reporters that most of the mobile phone models that are currently involved in the national subsidy can produce a new phone in an average of 6 seconds on this production line.
According to the forecast of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, under the promotion of this policy, the domestic sales of mobile phones this year are expected to reach 300 million units.
Song Shuang, a researcher at the Cydie Research Institute of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, said: "This not only stimulates purchasing demand, but also promotes the pace of product renewal. Local governments are accelerating the promotion of old-for-new consumer electronic products, accelerating product renewal and service upgrades, which has a positive impact on upstream and downstream raw materials, instruments, equipment and other industries."
