CCTV News: Last year, my country's agricultural product prices showed a weak trend. At the series of press conferences on "The Achievements of China's High-Quality Economic Development" held by the State Council Information Office on January 20, a relevant official from the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs said that the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs and relevant departments have taken positive measures to strengthen the connection between production and sales, implement the minimum purchase price policy, promote the increase in the efforts to collect and store, strengthen information release, and promote the stability of grain prices.

A relevant person in charge of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs said that in the past two years, the international grain market prices have been at a low level, especially the international prices of wheat, corn and soybeans have fallen to about half of the previous high. Since last year, domestic grain prices have also declined to a certain extent, but the decline is significantly smaller than that of the international market.

Zhang Xingwang, Vice Minister of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, said that judging from the recent market trend, the progress of autumn grain purchases is stable and orderly, prices have gradually stabilized, and futures prices of corn and soybeans have rebounded, and market expectations are improving.

Zhang Xingwang said that in the next step, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs will continue to keep a close eye on the trends of autumn grain purchase and sales, cooperate with relevant departments, take multiple measures to strengthen market-oriented grain purchase and policy-based storage, continuously optimize market regulation, increase the scale of corn collection and storage, increase support for relevant policies on the connection between soybean production and sales, grasp the timing, rhythm and scale of grain imports, promote the prices of important agricultural products such as grain to maintain at a reasonable level, and ensure farmers' income from growing grain.
