On January 21, the fourth season of the documentary "Building a Great Power" produced by the Financial Program Center of China Central Radio and Television was launched. This is the first time in China that the "urban underground lifeline" is deeply focused on the "urban underground lifeline" in the form of a special documentary.
Building and managing the urban "inside" project is a requirement to deeply implement the people's urban concept and improve the level of urban management. Continuously improving the comprehensive carrying capacity of cities is not only a new proposition to promote Chinese-style modernization, but also an urgent need to realize a better life for the people.

The current underground pipelines in old urban areas of my country have been in service overdue service. It is estimated that the total volume of various types of pipeline networks will be needed in the next five years, and the total investment demand will be about 4 trillion yuan. It is timely and of great significance to accelerate the construction of the "urban underground lifeline".

The three-episode documentary "City Pulse" aims the camera at the "urban underground lifeline" and shoots 35 "hidden" projects such as flood control and drainage, emergency rescue, water, electricity and gas supply, etc., from the three levels of urban renewal, industrial map new, and pulse to new, it truly records that my country's urban development "focused both on the ground and underground", vividly presenting the exploration and practice of "internal" project construction. For example, Pingyao Ancient City deeply integrates ancient city construction wisdom with modern technology to inherit the profound connotation of Taoism and nature; Xiamen Comprehensive Pipe Corridor has shown strong capabilities in resisting super typhoons; Nanjing Xiaoxihu Historical District uses "embroidery skills" to slightly update; Shanghai Xuhui District has allowed the civil defense project that has been sleeping for nearly 30 years to resurrect the form of a pipe corridor.

The documentary "City Pulse" will be broadcast on the Financial Channel from January 21 to 23, 2025.
