Zhangjiakou, January 20 (Li Yusu) On the 19th, the 31st Taiwan Compatriots Youth Winter Camp Hebei Branch Camp entered Chongli, the "Winter Olympic City", and teachers and students from many schools in Taiwan and Taiwanese college students experienced the charm of ice and snow sports together.
"Will it snow today?" "Where is snow?" "When can I ski?" During the event, the word "snow" has been mentioned by these young Taiwanese. Zeng Yinling, a Taiwanese student from Jinan University, said that it is difficult to see snow in Taiwan. Looking down from the National Ski Jump Center "Snow Ruyi" Observation Deck, a snowy scene is very spectacular.
It was the 2024-2025 snow season. In the afternoon of that day, a group of people came to Fulong Ski Resort to experience skiing. Considering that most people are "first skating", the local area has arranged professional coaches to teach introductory knowledge of snowboarding.
Zeng Yinling smiled and said that the first time skiing felt a bit like riding an electric bike. "When I first started using the double board, I felt that the center of gravity of my whole body was moving forward, which made me feel like I was riding an electric bike, but skiing took more effort." Lin Ruiting from Taiwan University of Science and Technology said that when I put on the snowboard, I practiced from scratch, and every attempt and every progress was full of accomplishment. The speed and freedom he glided also made him feel unprecedented pleasure and joy.
"The journey of worshipping rituals not only satisfies my love for skiing, but also makes me feel the enthusiasm and friendship of my compatriots in mainland China. I look forward to more opportunities to come here to enjoy the fun of the ice and snow world in the future and share the passion and beauty of skiing." Lin Ruiting said.
Since the opening of the camp on January 17, Taiwanese teachers and students and Taiwanese college students have visited the landmark locations in Zhangjiakou such as the Three Ancestors of China, Dajingmen, and Zhangjiakou Museum to gain an in-depth understanding of the local history and culture.
