CCTV News: According to the WeChat official account of the Chinese Embassy in Japan, on January 20, the Chinese Embassy in Japan issued the "Embassy in Japan reminds Chinese citizens to pay attention to declaration regulations when bringing gold into the country."

Recently, a tourist brought gold jewelry into Japan because he did not declare to the customs or did not truthfully declare the goods, which affected his trip in Japan. The Chinese Embassy in Japan reminds Chinese citizens to fill out the customs declaration form truthfully and carefully when entering the country with gold.

Japanese Customs stipulates that all personnel must truthfully fill out the "Packages and Separate Transportation Baggage Declaration Form" when entering the country. When you bring gold products (including necklaces, bracelets, rings, etc.) and gold bars, you must declare them regardless of weight or size. If the items carried are for personal use, the quantity meets the requirements and the total price does not exceed 200,000 yen, you can enter and exit the country with tax exemption after completing the corresponding procedures. If you carry more than 1 kilogram of precious metals such as gold, or cash or securities worth more than 1 million yen, you must fill out the "Payment Means, etc. Carrying Inbound and Outbound Declaration Form" separately.

For detailed regulations, please refer to the Japanese customs website and passenger guide.

I wish my compatriots a safe and happy trip!
