Previously, Huang Ru was the president (vice ministerial level) and deputy secretary of the Party Committee of Southeast University.
The official resume shows that Huang Ru, female, Hui nationality, born in November 1969, has a postgraduate degree, a Ph.D. in Science, and is a member of the Communist Party of China. She is an alternate member of the 20th Central Committee.

Huang Ru studied in the Department of Electronic Engineering of Southeast University with a bachelor's degree and master's degree, and later obtained her doctorate degree from the Department of Computer Science and Technology of Peking University. Since 1997, she has served as a lecturer, associate professor (1999) and professor (2002) at the School of Information Science and Technology of Peking University, and a lecturer at Boya, Peking University (2016).
Huang Ru has served as vice president and dean of the School of Information Science and Technology of Peking University, director of the Department of Information and Engineering Science of Peking University, dean of the Institute of Artificial Intelligence of Peking University, assistant president of Peking University, vice president of Peking University, member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of Peking University and vice president of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. In 2015, she was elected as an academician of the Department of Information Technology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
In December 2021, Huang Ru was appointed as the deputy secretary of the Party Committee of Southeast University, and since January 2022, he served as the president (vice ministerial level) and deputy secretary of the Party Committee of Southeast University.
