CCTV News: A reporter learned from China Petroleum on January 19 that the oil and gas production equivalent of Tarim Oilfield, the largest ultra-deep oil and gas production base in my country, in 2024, exceeded 20 million tons, reaching 20.47 million tons, a new high.

The Tarim Basin is the largest oil and gas basin in my country, with rich reserves of ultra-deep oil and gas resources. As the newly opened deep-ground natural gas area in Tarim Oilfield, the Bozi Dabei Gas Zone of Tarim Oilfield has grown strongly for five consecutive years.

Zhou Jianping, chief engineer of the Boda Oil and Gas Management Zone of Tarim Oil and Gas Field in China Petroleum, introduced that at present, the lowest temperature at night in the Bozi North Gas Zone has reached more than minus 20 degrees Celsius, with 123 wells opened, and nearly 30 million cubic meters of natural gas are produced from the depths of the formation every day.

At present, the Tarim Oilfield has built five deep and ultra-deep natural gas main production areas in the southern foot of the Tianshan Mountains and the hinterland of the Taklamakan Desert, with daily natural gas production exceeding 90 million cubic meters. Most of these natural gas is collected from deep strata seven or eight thousand meters underground.

In 2024, Tarim Oilfield drilled more than 50 deep wells with 8,000 meters. The first 10,000-meter exploration well in my country, the first 10,000-meter exploration well in China, successfully broke through the 10,000-meter mark, becoming the second largest vertical and deep well on land in the world and the first Asian vertical and deep well. It marks that my country has achieved a major breakthrough in the deep-seated field, which not only drives the iterative upgrade of 10,000-meter drilling technology and equipment, but also promotes my country's deep-seated oil and gas exploration and development process. New energy channels are added to the northwest region of my country

While increasing ultra-deep natural gas production, Tarim Oilfield has also increased the construction of natural gas pipelines. Recently, the 99-kilometer-long gasification natural gas pipeline project in the southern Xinjiang region, the Keying Line, was put into production, adding a new artery to ensure natural gas supply this winter and next spring.

The gasification of the southern Xinjiang natural gas pipeline project is a key people's livelihood project to enrich the people and promote Xinjiang. The starting point is located at Duku Highway in Kuqa City and the end point is at the Yingmaili Gas Transmission Station. It passes through as many as 66 difficult and complex areas such as railways, highways, mountains, and large rivers along the way. The completion and production of the Keying Line has successfully connected the Kla-Kshen trillion cubic meters atmospheric zone and the Southern Xinjiang natural gas benefit project, greatly improving the gas supply capacity.

Yuan Zhu, deputy manager of the project management department of the Nanjiang Gasification Pipeline Network Engineering of China Petroleum Tarim Oilfield, introduced that after the Keying Line is put into production, the maximum gas supply capacity per day will reach 11 million cubic meters, providing strong and powerful guarantees for the people's livelihood and industrial gas use of all ethnic groups in the four prefectures of southern Xinjiang, and playing a role in linking peak shaving and emergency supply guarantee.

The first batch of gasification southern Xinjiang natural gas pipeline project to which the Keying Line belongs is 616 kilometers in length and is planned to be completed in November 2025. The planned total length of gasification in the southern Xinjiang natural gas pipeline project is 2,108 kilometers and is planned to be implemented in 3 batches.

After the gasification of the Southern Xinjiang Natural Gas Pipeline Project is fully completed, the new pipeline and the Southern Xinjiang Natural Gas Benefit Project will realize the dual-line gas supply pipelines such as the newly built pipeline and the Southern Xinjiang Natural Gas Benefit Project. It will connect 9 counties and cities in Kashgar, Aksu, Bazhou and other prefectures, benefiting nearly 10 million people of all ethnic groups. The gas production volume of my country's largest deep gas storage has reached a new high.

Simultaneously with the construction of pipeline networks, Tarim Oilfield has also comprehensively accelerated the construction of gas sources. After days of operation adjustment, the Yaha Gas Storage in Tarim Oilfield, the largest deep gas storage in my country, rose to 2.2 million cubic meters on January 19, and the natural gas stored underground was continuously sent to thousands of households downstream.

Yaha Gas Storage is located in Kuqa City, Xinjiang. It is built on the deep high-pressure large-scale integrated Yaha Condensate gas field. The average gas reservoir has an average buried depth of more than 5,100 meters and a designed storage capacity of 15.16 billion cubic meters. It is the largest gas storage storage capacity and working gas volume built in my country in the deep underground of more than 5,000 meters. It undertakes important tasks such as seasonal peak regulation, emergency gas supply, and national energy strategic reserves in the five prefectures in southern Xinjiang and the West-East Gas Pipeline Pipeline.

The construction of Yaha gas storage warehouse was launched in April 2024, and it will be promoted in two phases. According to the production model of construction and operation at the same time, the gas storage storage will simultaneously accelerate the follow-up construction of the first phase of the project while retrieving gas, and is planned to be completed in 2026.
