CCTV News: The Spring Festival is approaching, and the first Fujian-Taiwan New Year Collection event was officially launched in Xiamen, Fujian, a few days ago, attracting many compatriots on both sides of the Taiwan Strait to participate, experience the folk customs of the Fujian-Taiwan Spring Festival together, enhance understanding and exchange of Chinese traditional culture, and also allow Taiwanese compatriots who stay in Xiamen for the New Year to feel the strong New Year atmosphere.
Along with familiar Taiwanese folk songs, the first Fujian-Taiwan New Year Shiqu Gallery kicked off on Dayuan Road, a century-old street in Xiamen. The distinctive folk performances interact with citizens and tourists at close distance. The market at the event site, including Taiwanese food, Fujian-Taiwan souvenirs, trendy brand cultural and creative products, attracted many tourists and local residents to come and buy New Year's goods.
Taiwan calligrapher Cao Yuanzhang wrote on the spot and wrote the beautiful wish of "one year begins and everything renews."
The "Tea Table" with southern Fujian characteristics was also unveiled at the event site. Relatives and friends from both sides of the Taiwan Strait sat around the table and tasted tea, experiencing the profound heritage of the "Tea Table Table" culture.
On the evening of the 18th, in Tong'an, the thousand-year-old ancient city of Xiamen, the lanterns in the old street new city were bright and shining, attracting many Taiwanese compatriots who stayed in Xiamen for the New Year to experience the strong New Year atmosphere.
This year's Spring Festival, Xiamen will launch more than 1,000 events including intangible cultural heritage, fashion, art, spring appreciation, trendy toys, etc. with the theme of "Happy Opening Xiamen". On the night of the first day of the first lunar month on January 29, a cross-strait Spring Festival fireworks party will also be held.
