CCTV News: As the Spring Festival approaches, the 2025 "Southern Fujian Culture in the Countryside" New Year's Gala with the theme of "Fu Man Xiangcheng·Pu Nan Spring Rhyme" was held in Punan Town, Zhangzhou, Fujian. Local villagers performed on the same stage with Taiwanese youth preparing to celebrate the New Year in Zhangzhou. It was joyful and lively, allowing villagers and tourists to feel the strong New Year atmosphere in advance.
The auspicious dragon soars and bids farewell to the old year, the golden snake dances to welcome the New Year, and the party kicks off with the intangible cultural heritage drum music "Dragon Teng Nuo Dance·Golden Snake Makes Spring". More than a dozen programs with rich local cultural characteristics of southern Fujian were staged one after another, including poetry recitation, children's chorus, Minnan folk music, song opera, intangible cultural heritage dance. The songs sung by representatives of Taiwanese youth and the Punan people sing "Love Family", "I Believe" and "You Can Win Only by Fighting" pushed the atmosphere of the village night to a climax.
It is understood that this is the second "village evening" held in Punan Town, Zhangzhou. Most of the performers are town and village cadres, and enthusiastic villagers. The unique local accent and local feelings have also attracted Taiwanese compatriots to perform in a friendly manner.
