CCTV News: Understand China's economic answer sheet and pay attention to important economic indicators. In 2024, my country's energy consumption structure continued to be optimized, the proportion of non-fossil energy consumption steadily increased, and the level of green and low-carbon development has significantly improved.
In this 2024 China's economic answer sheet, my country's industrial raw coal output above designated size was 4.76 billion tons, an increase of 1.3% over the previous year; the industrial crude oil output above designated size was 210 million tons, an increase of 1.8% over the previous year; the industrial natural gas output above designated size was 246.4 billion cubic meters, an increase of 6.2% over the previous year.

It is understood that in 2024, my country's energy supply increased steadily, raw coal production hit a record high, crude oil production has been stable for many years, and natural gas production has increased for many years, providing strong support for ensuring national energy security.

Through this answer sheet, we can see a significant improvement in my country's green and low-carbon development level. In 2024, the proportion of non-fossil energy in total energy consumption in my country increased by 1.8 percentage points compared with the previous year, the proportion of coal decreased by 1.6 percentage points, oil decreased by 0.5 percentage points, and natural gas increased by 0.3 percentage points. Clean energy generation such as industrial hydropower, nuclear power, wind power, solar power generation, etc. above a certain scale generated 3.1 trillion kilowatt-hours, an increase of 11.6% over the previous year.

Wang Guanhua, spokesperson of the National Bureau of Statistics and deputy director of the National Economic Comprehensive Statistics Department, said: "The concept of green development is more deeply rooted in the hearts of the people. The comprehensive green transformation of my country's economy and society has been accelerating, and the efficiency of energy resource utilization has been improved. The energy consumption per unit GDP continues to decline, and the energy consumption per unit added value in major energy-consuming industries such as steel, chemicals, and nonferrous metals has all declined compared with the previous year. At the same time, the green transformation of energy has also made positive progress. The installed capacity of non-fossil energy has continued to expand, and the proportion of clean energy consumption in the total energy consumption has steadily increased."
