Your department’s request for the new Huangyan Island National Nature Reserve is received. The approval is as follows: 1. Agree to build a new Huangyan Island National Nature Reserve. Establishing a national nature reserve in Huangyan Island is an important guarantee for maintaining the diversity, stability and sustainability of Huangyan Island's natural ecosystem. Relevant departments and localities must strictly implement the "Regulations on Nature Reserves of the People's Republic of China" and the construction and management of nature reserves, strictly implement ecological and environmental protection responsibilities, strengthen organizational leadership and coordination and cooperation, improve management institutions, strengthen supervision and law enforcement of all kinds of illegal and irregular behaviors involving nature reserves, ensure that various management measures are implemented, and continuously improve the construction and management level of national nature reserves.

2. The area, scope and functional zoning of Huangyan Island National Nature Reserve will be announced separately by the National Forestry and Grassland Administration.
