Since last year, with the optimization and upgrading of a series of measures to facilitate foreigners to come to China, such as 240-hour transit visa-free and unilateral visa-free, the number of foreign personnel entering the country has surged year-on-year.
Data shows that as of May 19, the Shenzhen Border Inspection General Station has inspected 2.64 million foreign personnel entering and leaving, an increase of 41% year-on-year, of which 560,000 foreigners are allowed to enter, an increase of 105% year-on-year.
Du Hai, the fourth-level senior police officer of the Border Inspection Department of the Shenzhen Border Inspection General Station, said that the period of passenger flow exceeding 100 million inbound passengers this year was 24 days earlier than in 2024, which indirectly reflects the accelerated integration and development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and the new immigration management policies are direct to fast enjoyment and Huitong preferential enjoyment.
