The 2025 International Museum Day China Main Venue event was held at the Grand Canal Museum in Beijing on May 18. The reporter learned from the opening ceremony of the event that the State Administration of Cultural Heritage released the latest data showing that in 2024, museums across the country held 43,000 exhibitions and 511,000 educational activities, and received 1.49 billion visitors. As of the end of 2024, the total number of registered museums nationwide reached 7,046, an increase of 213 over the previous year; one museum per 200,000 people was achieved, and the museum's free opening rate reached 91.46%.
