Tunisian President Sayed Meets with Li Shulei

Xinhua News Agency, Tunisia, May 17 (Reporters Huang Ling and Wang Yisheng) On May 15, Tunisian President Sayed met with Li Shulei, a member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Minister of the Propaganda Department of the CPC Central Committee, who led a Chinese Communist Party delegation to visit Tunisia.

Li Shulei conveyed President Xi Jinping’s cordial greetings to President Sayed. Li Shulei said that in May 2024, President Xi Jinping jointly announced the establishment of a strategic partnership between China and Turkestan, drawing a new blueprint for the development of bilateral relations. China is willing to work with Texas to implement the important consensus reached by the two heads of state, continue traditional friendship, consolidate political mutual trust, strengthen exchanges of experience in governing the country, promote high-quality joint construction of the "Belt and Road", deepen cooperation in the fields of culture, academic, tourism, media, etc., strengthen exchanges and mutual learning between civilizations, closely coordinate and cooperate in international and regional affairs, and promote the steady and long-term relationship between the two countries.

Saiyed asked Li Shulei to convey his good wishes to President Xi Jinping, saying that the Turkish side attached great importance to developing relations with China, admired China's remarkable development achievements, appreciated China's important role in international affairs, thanked China for its long-term strong support for the economic and social development of Turkish, emphasized that Turkish side abides by the one-China principle, and supported China's efforts to achieve national reunification and defend its core interests. The Tsukuk side is willing to deepen the docking of development strategy with China, strengthen cooperation in various fields such as economy and trade, humanities, health, and infrastructure construction, and strengthen unity and cooperation to better benefit the people of both countries.

During the visit to Zhao, Li Shulei also met with Tunisian Prime Minister Zanzari, Speaker of the National Assembly Budbala, and Chairman of the National Provincial and Regional Committee Darbali.
