According to the report, from January 1, 2024 to April 30, 2025, a total of 288 new air cargo routes were opened nationwide. Among them, there are 243 international air cargo routes, and the route network covers six continents around the world. Asia has the largest number of routes, accounting for nearly 50%; followed by 88 routes in Europe and 29 routes in North America, ranking third. The top three newly opened international freight routes carry the most cargo, namely e-commerce goods, electronic products, and ordinary goods.

In addition, from 2024 to April 2025, 45 new domestic air cargo routes have been opened, and mail express delivery, fresh cold chain products and e-commerce goods are the most frequently transported goods. Among them, routes carrying fresh cold chain products account for more than 29% of the total number of routes, far higher than other routes. Special cargoes represented by fresh food have gradually become a new growth point in the aviation logistics market. In addition, it is reported that the Jiaxing Global Air Logistics Hub Project, the second professional air cargo hub in my country, is scheduled to be put into operation by the end of this year.

Experts said that against the backdrop of increasing uncertainty in the global market, my country's route network has accelerated its expansion and has continuously weaved the international route network. At present, air cargo channels with the four world-class airport groups of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei, Yangtze River Delta, Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao, Chengdu-Chongqing as the core are being formed, and the air cargo network that reaches Southeast Asia and Northeast Asia markets and Europe, America and Australia are gradually being improved, and its supporting role in my country's high-end manufacturing industry participating in global industrial competition and maintaining the stability of the industrial chain and supply chain is becoming increasingly prominent.

About 60% of the supply of goods in my country's aviation logistics market comes from cross-border e-commerce. In addition, the structure of my country's export products is constantly being optimized and upgraded, and more new products with high-tech attributes are accelerating their "going overseas", becoming a new highlight of the aviation logistics market under the new development pattern.

In addition, according to the "2025 Air Logistics Market Forecast Report" released by the Air Logistics Branch of the China Federation of Logistics and Procurement, more than 80% of the survey subjects remain optimistic about the global air cargo volume and the development expectations of my country's air cargo volume in 2025. At the same time, it is generally believed that the growth rate of my country's air cargo volume will be higher than the growth rate of global air cargo volume.
