During the drought-resistant wheat watering and one spray and three prevention operations, local agricultural technicians tried to apply new types of sprinkler irrigation equipment to achieve water and energy saving on the basis of ensuring stable wheat production and increase income.

In a test field in Qi County, Kaifeng, Henan Province, the expert group is conducting joint debugging and testing of the new sprinkler equipment developed and transformed this year. The pointer-type sprinkler irrigation machine equipped with a ground corner arm module slowly rotates around the center of the wheat field to replenish water and fertilizer for the wheat in the grouting period. It is estimated that compared with traditional equipment, new equipment can increase the effective irrigation area by about 15%.

In addition to the ground corner arms that can swing flexibly, this sprinkler irrigation machine also uses an independently developed low-pressure sprinkler head to effectively reduce energy consumption on the basis of achieving uniform sprinkler irrigation.

It is understood that this 3,000-acre sprinkler irrigation demonstration zone was jointly created by agricultural machinery enterprises from Jiangsu and Henan, China Agricultural University and the Institute of Farmland Irrigation of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences. After a small-scale experiment, the new irrigation equipment and supporting technical models will be promoted to more areas to promote the comprehensive application of efficient water-saving irrigation.

Unlike traditional farmland, every wheat seedling here is "precisely cared for". The drone hovers at low altitude, monitors various data in real time, draws a "digital portrait" for wheat growth, and creates a new technological empowerment sample for field crop planting.

It is understood that at present, 1.2729 million mu of wheat in Langfang City are growing well, and the agricultural department is organizing the "one spray and three prevention" operation to effectively control the occurrence of pests and diseases. In addition, in order to fully grasp the wheat growth status, the smart plant protection team of Hebei Agricultural University has analyzed the growth status of wheat fields in real time through "sky-ground integration" technologies such as drone multi-spectral monitoring, photosynthesis instruments, and chlorophyll meter data collection, accurately identify high-risk fields, and formulated personalized plant protection plans.
