China News Service, May 16th. 2025 marks the 10th anniversary of the official operation of the China-Latin American and Caribbean Countries Forum. Since its establishment in 2015, the construction of the forum mechanism has become increasingly mature and has grown into a core platform for coordinating overall China-Latin America cooperation, deepening strategic docking, and building a community with a shared future.
Over the past decade, China-Latin America economic and trade cooperation has formed a three-dimensional pattern of multi-dimensional and cross-field, and has achieved a series of fruitful results. In 2024, the bilateral trade volume exceeded US$518.47 billion, and the direct investment flow reached US$14.71 billion. The free trade "circle of friends" expanded to five countries, and infrastructure projects were implemented. These achievements inject strong momentum into building a closer China-Latin America community with a shared future.
Standing in a new historical position, China-Latin America relations usher in a broader space for development. As an important link to build friendly consensus between the two sides, the China-Latin America Forum will continue to expand the depth and breadth of cooperation, build a solid anchor for stability in the changing situation, promote the China-Latin America comprehensive cooperative partnership to a higher level, and draw a beautiful new chapter for China-Latin America relations.
