CCTV News: According to the analysis of the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, in April 2025, among the main types of commercial vehicles, the production and sales of buses and trucks both declined to varying degrees compared with last month; compared with the same period last year, the production and sales of buses decreased slightly, and the production and sales of trucks increased slightly.

In April 2025, the production and sales of commercial vehicles reached 362,000 and 367,000 respectively, a decrease of 16% and 17.9% month-on-month, and a year-on-year increase of 1.3% and 2.7% respectively.

From January to April 2025, the production and sales of commercial vehicles reached 1.41 million and 1.418 million, respectively, an increase of 4.1% and 2% year-on-year respectively.

In April 2025, both passenger bus production and sales reached 45,000 units, a decrease of 9.9% and 16.1% month-on-month and 0.2% and 0.6% year-on-year respectively. Among the sub-buses, compared with last month, the production and sales of the three major types of passenger buses all showed varying degrees; compared with the same period last year, the production and sales of light buses increased slightly, while the production and sales of the other two major types of passenger buses were decreased to varying degrees.

From January to April 2025, the production and sales of passenger buses reached 169,000, an increase of 5.9% and 6.9% year-on-year respectively. Among the sub-buses, compared with the same period last year, the production and sales of light passenger cars increased slightly, the production and sales of medium-sized passenger cars increased slightly, and the production and sales of large passenger cars decreased slightly, and the production and sales of large passenger cars decreased to varying degrees.

In April 2025, the production and sales of trucks reached 317,000 and 323,000, respectively, a decrease of 16.8% and 18.2% month-on-month, and a year-on-year increase of 1.5% and 3.2% respectively. Among the truck segments, compared with last month, the production and sales of medium-sized trucks showed different degrees of growth, with the production and sales of micro trucks increasing and the sales of the other two major trucks declining. Compared with the same period last year, the production and sales of heavy trucks and light trucks showed different degrees of growth, with the production and sales of medium-sized trucks increasing and the sales of micro trucks declining, with the production and sales of micro trucks declining significantly.

From January to April 2025, the production and sales of trucks reached 1.242 million and 1.249 million, respectively, an increase of 3.9% and 1.4% year-on-year respectively. Among the truck segments, compared with the same period last year, the production and sales of light trucks have increased to varying degrees, the production and sales of heavy trucks have increased to slightly decreased, and the production and sales of medium-sized trucks and micro trucks have decreased to varying degrees.
