CCTV News: The 4th Ministerial Meeting of the Forum on the China-Latin America and the Caribbean Countries was held in Beijing today (May 13). This year also marks the tenth anniversary of the establishment of the China-Latin America Forum. On the 12th, Dagong International and Tsinghua University jointly released the "Latin American Regional Investment Environment Assessment Report". The report shows that the Latin American regional integration process has shown positive development momentum. Driven by the continued deepening of mutual trust between China and Latin America, the economic and trade cooperation between the two sides is extending from traditional fields to emerging fields such as green economy and digital economy.

The report shows that over the past decade, China-Latin America's trade volume has continued to grow, and China has firmly ranked as the second largest trading partner of Latin America, and Latin America has become China's second largest overseas investment destination. Latin America has rich natural resources, huge market potential and diverse social structure, and has broad medium- and long-term development prospects. At present, Latin American countries are generally committed to diversified economic transformation, actively promoting green development and new infrastructure construction, etc., opening up new areas for China-Latin America cooperation. Experts said that Latin America's resource endowment and my country's technical level constitute a very good complement, and new fields such as digital economy and new energy have broad prospects.

The report also reminds investors to pay attention to potential challenges such as differences in the region's openness, uneven infrastructure construction levels, fluctuations in financing costs, and tax policies in some countries. Lu Bole, chairman of Dagong International, said that Latin American countries have significant stratification in the economic and social development stage, and Chinese companies need to adopt gradient and differentiate strategies to invest in this region; strictly abide by local laws and regulations, practice sustainable development, improve local capabilities through technical cooperation, and achieve win-win results for economic and environmental protection.
