On May 12, 2025, the ICRC announced the list of winners of the 50th Nightingale Award, with a total of 35 nursing staff from 17 countries winning the Nightingale Award. After being selected and recommended by the Chinese Red Cross Society, 7 outstanding nursing workers in my country have won this honor, making it the country with the largest number of awards this year.
The seven winners in my country are: Feng Ling (female) nurse at the AIDS Clinical Guidance and Training Center of Wuhan University Central South Hospital; Han Lin (female) vice president of Gansu Provincial People's Hospital; Liang Weixian (male) senior medical volunteer of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Red Cross Society; Qin Yuling (female) head nurse of the Department of Emergency Medicine of the Fifth Medical Center of the General Hospital of the People's Liberation Army; Tian Li (female) director of the Clinical Nursing Center of Tianjin Third Central Hospital; Xing Hong (female) chief nurse of the Tumor Center of Shanghai First People's Hospital; Zhang Yulian (female) chief nurse of Shaanxi Provincial People's Hospital.
